=== Pack Animals ===
{{Pack Animal|Pack Animals}} are often selected for their ability to be ridden and/or their increased carrying {{Capacity}}. They have a combined Beast/Pack Animal equipment slot. One pack animal per party can be {{mounted}} by your Leader using a [[Saddle]] (generally occupying 1 Capacity) to reduce travel costs and activate the mount's second die.

They can be obtained in:
* [[Leader]]-specific [[starting parties]] (Donkey, Horse)
* [[Tavern]] (Donkey)
* [[Villages]] (Donkey/Horse/Oryx in [[Drylands]]/[[Jungle]], Giant Tortoise in [[Archipelago]]s, Parasaurolophus in [[Prehistoric]] lands)
* Hatched and grown from [[Mysterious Egg]]s (Giant Tortoise, Parasaurolophus, Raptor)
* Tamed [[Prey Animals]] (Oryx)
* Rare variants of [[Waterfall/Oasis]] (Red Elk)
